Shutterfly Holiday Cards!
I don't know about you, but I LOVE Christmas cards! With our move, and a new baby on the way, and all the craziness, I missed sending them last year! Not this year!
Shutterfly has a lot of great holiday cards and products! I've used Shutterfly many times in the past. I store a lot of my photos there. I also have made several photobooks. Their online program is very user friendly and I like that I can control so many things. I really like a lot of their new photo cards for the holidays. They have a new line on premium cardstock. Check them out!
My favorites are:
I like this one with the classic look. I like the square, too. You just have to be ready to pay additional postage for square cards. I found that out with my wedding invitations. Wow!
It can be found at http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cards
I like this one with the "Subway Art" feel. From all my reading in blogger-land, I've found that Subway Art is the thing these days. So why not have a Christmas Card that is "the thing!"
It can be found at http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/holiday-cards
And check out these photo calendars that can be great Christmas gifts for grandparents, etc.

The coolest thing is that bloggers can get 50 free cards! http://bit.ly/sfly2010

Firsts and Fall Days
Okay, so I'm trying to get back into this blogging thing a little. I'm not promising anything. :o) I can't spend any extra time coming up with cute titles or anything, so for now we're using alliterations!
Yesterday was a first! Whitley's first food ever! She has been eying our food a lot lately. Since the recommended ages to start rice cereal is 4-6 months, we thought 5.25 months was perfect. She took right to it!
She kept smiling (like she always does . . . she is quite the smiler) everytime I put the spoon to her mouth.
Big Sister Addy wanted to be a part of the action, of course. She is a big helper!
This is just a bonus pic of our cutie in her October Fashion . . .
We are having a truly autumn feeling day today! Rain and cool winds. Addy really wanted to go outside to swing. So she donned her new jacket and her rain boots and Daddy braved the weather with her.
What a great Daddy!

Patches, Playments, & Pumpkins
PATCHES . . . .
About a month ago, Addy took one of many big steps toward becoming a "big girl". We said goodbye to the paci. We had been talking about it for a while, and finally the night came. We took our last pacifier with us to the mall and stepped into "Build-a-bear" ready to make our first purchase! Addy looked through all the animals and chose this adorable dog. As they were putting in the stuffing, we stuffed that paci right in the arm. Now if Addy wants to sleep with her pacifier, she can sleep with Patches! The transition was actually very easy. We are proud of Addy for taking a big step!
PLAYMATES . . . .
Addy and Whitley are going to be the best playmates! Already Addy says "Whit-ty is my best friend!" It is soo cute! Whitley really watches Addy all the time. She laughs more for Addy than anyone else. The first thing in the morning, Addy asks for Whitley. I can't wait to see their relationship develop as they get older!
PUMPKINS . . . .
We took a trip to Dallas a few weeks ago and had lunch with friends at NorthPark Mall. There is a nice courtyard and it had the biggest pumpkins! Addy loved looking at them and sitting on them! It was a great place for a new family pic!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, ADDY!!
Just a short post of a couple pics from Addy's 1st Birthday Party. I'd like to post more, so maybe I'll get around to that between packing our house (Did you know we're moving to TULSA in 2 weeks????), trying to keep it in "show-ready" condition since we're still trying to sell it, and keeping up with a toddling toddler. Addy is walking all around! In the meantime, here are a few pics of her 1st birthday!
She enjoyed her cake very much. She was all dainty like and stuck
one finger in the icing and licked it over and over.
Then, she finally took a decent chunk out of the middle. Yummy!

Having fun with bubbles and wands outside while Daddy grilled our lunch!

10 months and the Zoo!
Addy turned 10 months last week. You know, I started out so well, documenting everything, taking tons of pictures. Now I keep missing landmarks. Just imagine how I'll be with my future children. So, these pics are of Addy at 10 months and 3 days! :o) I thought that was close enough. We've been enjoying nice warm weather here in San Antonio. However, I just opened my next size tub of hand-me-downs from cousin Beth Ellen and discovered that we've got to wear as much as possible on our cooler days so we don't miss out on any of these cute outfits! Thanks, Bethie, for the cute leopard print outfit!
This is Addy showing off her pointing skills as she points at Samson the Goat.
He would have liked to nibble on her little finger if I would've let him!

We took another trip to the zoo yesterday. It was 6 moms, 6 strollers, and 8 baby/toddler girls. We were quite the bunch. It was a beautiful day and the kiddoes (and the moms) all had lots of fun. Addy still loved the monkeys and the fish and birds. They all moved a lot which makes them so much more fun for little eyes. They also were in exhibits where Addy could see them from the stroller. Many of the exhibits have ledges or bushes around and Addy couldn't see without getting out (which Mommy discovered was okay except for the getting-back-in-the-stroller part) You'll see lots of pics of Addison and Bella. Bella is just 6 weeks older, and the girls are really close in skill level. (or however you say that). They love playing together and sharing snacks. It's pretty cute to see them starting to interact.
Update on the house . . . . It's on the market! The sign went in the yard today. So, hopefully we'll have some bites in the next couple of weeks. My ideal situation is that we'd get an exceptable offer in 2-3 weeks and wouldn't have to move out for 2-3 months. :o) Keeping the house in show-ready condition is going to be a tough job with a 10-month old running around here! We'll keep you posted!
